I thought last week's track was bad, before i had seen this week
IF U CANT GIVE US A BIT BETTER TRACK, PLEASE DONT START THE COMPETITION ANYWAYS

IF YOU GIVE 1 MORE MAP LIKE THIS, I'M OUT.

I have to agree... What the fck was that map?? I thought this was a Dirt Endurance race and not Tech&Stunt

What a joke of a map to throw into endurance. Have some common sense while choosing these maps into the tournament. I dont' want to waste 30 mins of my life to a fcking piece of shit like that!

Thx for you non-frustrated posts again. Luckly, i am able too keep my head cool and keep being friendly Smile

I'll ask my mates to implement a map with 4 straight lines and 4 corners so any difficulties will be taken away.A map without any challenges and hard driving lines. A standard circuit so you wont make any mistake within 12 laps.

Im sorry, im really dissapointed.

PS: i crash several times, each week.. but at least i try to finish.

well i love very hard maps Very Happy but this one wasnt a hard dirt map... it just was a stunt map with some bad bug landings (especially b4 finishline and after the biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig jump...)

it really was a bad choise...

was a very poor rounds track, no idea how speri mag venni can pick this

as for difficulty, the only difficult thing was to try to avoid unavoidable bugs

nearly every jump had random bugs from bad block mixing and poor tile choices, honestly it makes me wonder why with so many good mappers out there that competitions still pick poor tracks

Main problem of this map were the turbo followed by the long jumps ... you get an unlucky bug and you're screwed ... also some of the landing blocks were done very bad, I would say this was more a LoL dirt map than a real racing map :\

[Quote Fool: Now why everyone agrees except u..]

Maybe most of the guys who agree with me are just tired of the frustrated and angry attitude of some members.

I will agree about the long jump. The landing after that was indeed tricky. However, it wouldnt cost you a lot of time if you had a bug landing coz of the next coming corners. And if you had a mid-air bug and didnt reach the landing.. im going to eat my shoes. And if you landed at the wrong side of the barrier, it's youre own mistake.

About the blockmixing: please tell me more about it. What happened? Maybe video/pictures or something? And block landing? Were that those 90 degree dirt corners? I made several mistakes with that ones but it ewas my own fault. Braking mid-air would make you land at the angled part. Too much speed would make you land at the horizontal part and causing troubles sometimes.

Do you see what I try to say? Please describe your problems, instead of shouting and saying that you are going to leave if we continue like this. You know? We like to have FUN and racing each other every week. If you want to threat is by saying such a things, we won't miss you. waiting for your further description.

This frustration-part of this post is NOT pointing towards Gswe, Marc and Markko Martin.

Cordialement, Knsaki.

mass to be honest it really shouldnt have to be said, if a dirt team with skilled drivers such as DOS cant see why or ask for details as to why others think its a bad track, theres little point going any further

really shouldnt have to explain everything when this track is meant to be tested, its a TA lol dirt/tech track,no way in hell is it suitable for an enduro let alone a dirt competition and please note its not because i failed or was slow that i am hating on this track

as for the block mixing, if you dont build tracks it wont be possible to explain as there was alot of block mixing, the main problem is those near vertical dirt ramps, any dirt builder worth his salt knows they are buggy

theres 2 jumps where block mixing is the cause of bugs due to the block behaviour of the join between the 2 blocks

theres 3 flat landing jumps because the guy is either useless at building or just a slow driver

there is more boosters on this track than on a full speed track, it looks more like he ran out of ideas so made a simple section take 20 seconds, flying up that bridge pole down onto the dirt ramp was awful, you say it doesnt cost much time, about 40% of my laps i lost over 0.5 second there from a bug on the landing, id say thats alot

in any case i could go on and on and on, the problem is that you guys dont seem to see the problems with some of these tracks like most of us do

feels like RC cup all over again :-)

by the way. i sent a "real" dirt track into you guys, so feel free to moan at that or to see the type of building to make a smooth bugless track

Thanks for the useful reply mate. I will talk about this with my mates. Even the DoS-team has a lot of experienced members, it doesnt say anything about feedback. Positive AND negative feedback are more than welcome. But the main problem is that negative feedback contains a very bad attitude from some members. I am really suprised why it isnt possible to react in a social way. Within everysingle dirt tournament people complain about the maps. If it isnt at the forum.. than it is at the servers. It is not possible to be perfect.. so we thank you for sharing your ideas. However.. some quotes I would like to use as
an example to express my thoughts:

[really shouldnt have to explain everything]
Complaining without explaining about it? That makes forum-life even worse.

[when this track is ment to be tested]
Yep, we did test this map.. and it looks like some members dont like it.

[no way in hell is it suitable for an enduro]
I agree with you that the map didnt match your expactations about the Endurance. Suprisingly, the very most of negatvive feedback is from the topdrivers. They fight for the 1st place and have a good reason to be mad if they crash. For those drivers an ultimate dirtmap would be one without big risks to crash or making mistakes. We decided to implement a hard and challenging map because 12 laps is long and should be hard to drive with your eyes closed.

[because the guy is either useless at building or just a slow driver]
Wow, thank you for saying such a bad words about Furox, even if he isnt here at this topic. I hope he will reply to this. And what is wrong with slow drivers? I think they enjoy the Endurance more than you do.

[there is more boosters on this track than on a full speed track]
Hm ok. I am not really into fullspeed so I cannot say anything usefull about this. Do fullspeed tracks have less than 4 boosters? And hey, all of them were pointing in a big straight line without any corner in sight.
So I dont see the point about this?

[lost over 0,5 second there]
You say this is a lot for an Endurance? Let say this would cost you 1 sec. OK? In the worst situation it would you cost 12 seconds (12laps x 1). I am sorry, but this is really nothing for an Endurance. It confirms that you see our Endurance as a to-do-or-die-actions-race.

[in any case i could go on and on and on]
Do not worry, I asked you to do this.

[like the most of us do]
The most of what? The people within this topic or the people from the Endurance? For the record: there are 230 drivers who entered a race. So where is the 'most of us'? Or do you agree with me abouthe topdrivers?

[feels like RC cup all over again]
Thanks again to say bad words about others within our forum. I am sure they wont be happy about this. My appologizes to the RC-team for having this comment at our forum. Sorry.

[i sent a 'real' dirt track]
Thanks mate! We will test it Smile Hopefully it is a big challenge for an Endurance.

[so feel free to moan at that]
You do not have to expect that we moan about maps. We respect the track builders and are happy that they put some energy into the TM-world. Without them, there wouldnt be any tournament.

your taking what i am saying out of context, what i mean is it is sad to HAVE to explain it as you guys really should already KNOW whats wrong with it, which leads to the testing comment

-Mass- wrote:

if this map was tested properly the drivers doing the testing would of encountered both bugs and seen this is not a suitable track for endurance racing or even rounds, of course not everyone will have the same opinions but its clear something is wrong for such a track to get put on a competition of this kind

because funnily enough the top drivers mainly have alot more experience in driving good maps Rolling Eyes also they tend to care more about competitions so will voice opinions on such topics, i dont class myself as a top driver but i will always voice my opinions if i like or dislike something

it has nothing to do with crashing from difficulty of a corner set or a tough transition which require alot of skill and commitment, it has to do with poor track design determining the outcome of their race through no or little control/skill of their own, tracks like that decide the outcome rather than the players skill(excluding wiidii the freak ;-) )

im sorry but i dont agree with you at all, an ultimate dirt map is a smooth map which is 95%+ DIRT, this track had 5 tech corners on it which required tech drifting skills, that has nothing to do with and "ultimate dirt track" you make an ultimate dirt track which requires commitment with a penalty for failure by making in such a way that the desired section is about SKILL and not luck from bugs and flat landings

nothing wrong with slow drivers, but when slower drivers make tracks in which fast people play on there are always sections which dont work and these are mainly in the form of bad jumps, this track being case and point with atleast 4 really poor jumps

i will say its useless building if thats what i feel, im not 1 of these guys who does not speak his opinion , if i dont like it i will say so, i dont set out to be rude but i know id prefer someone to tell me my last track was useless than say nothing at all

there was actually about 8 boosters, all before jumps with 1 set throwing you into the fastest corner on the track before 5 or so boosters in a row taking you up that bridge post thing, this is where the LOL track comments are coming from

12 seconds is what separated 2nd place from 10th place so yes id say it matters alot FOR 1 BUG ALONE, this is not even mentioning the other bug spots which lost similar amounts of time upon hitting them
we are not talking some fancy skill section where you either go through clean or crash and burn, we are talking about bugs and in most of the cases there was very little you could do to avoid these, especially the 1 just before the finish/start line

i did not see 1 person on server 2 who liked this and nearly everyone said some comment about it being a very poor choice, im not that good with french but there is certain words you pick out lol, i actually felt bad for sponge

i think RC know how most people felt about 90% of their tracks in the RC cup, and when i say 90% yes i talked with most teams in servers and they all said the same thing, the comparison is there after last weeks track we got told the next tracks will be great

uhm

You do not have to expect that we moan about maps. We respect the track builders and are happy that they put some energy into the TM-world. Without them, there wouldnt be any tournament.

my track has some skill sections which mean skill gains or loses you time, not bugs or dodgy transitions which for the most part are out of your control, i only mentioned it as i have used some block mixing in it and as a comparison for you to see the difference between smooth block mixes and jolty block mixes, also smooth landings on jumps if you are fast or slower

i dont expect, i wish people would moan about tracks and give critical feedback when they dont like something, how else will people know and learn from it?

but for sure, saying oh man its shit is not really going to help anyone, but tempers do get let loose even if this is a game its competitive and there fore will get some people emotional, be it angry disappointed etc

anyway thats all i got to say on it, ive expressed my opinion and explained why i feel that way and answered your comments/questions

i dont go looking for hefty debates Very Happy
